ACADEMY of REGIONAL ANAESTHESIA of SOUTH AFRICA Or ARASA
This is a week long in depth and intensive course on regional anaesthesia. Call it the A-Z of RA in one week, if you like.
It is to be held at the Department of Anatomy at the University of Pretoria,
twice this year (same course repeated).
| 2-6 July and |
 |
Please click here to view the programme and you will see that it is very comprehensive and intensive and includes
a LOT of hands on work - cadavers, ultra sound, anaesthetised pig workshops, computer simulation in a computer
laboratory etc. We are confident that the delegates will go away with a good working knowledge of regional anaesthesia
after this course.
For the past two years and again in December this year I have been to Sweden and have been involved in such a week long
course at the Orebro University Hospital at the invitation and request of Professor Narinda Rawal. (Orebro is midway
between Stockholm and Gotheburg) and it has been hugely successful there and ours is largely based on their model.
Please allow us to dream a little here. We dream of this becoming 'the' regional anaesthesia course for the southern
hemisphere - with attendees from all over the southern hemisphere. A pipe dream? Maybe. But with your loyal
support quite possible.
My very best regards.
Russell
